Similar to my photos from Pulau Ubin, I like the sense of survival from Joshua Tree. The rocky desert is inhospitable. Yet, there are gardens of cactus and forests of Joshua Trees. I like this image for the color contrast between the blue sky and the tan rock. The simplicity of the Joshua tree that connects the two. I love the depth of the rocky landscape - and the memory of my family climbing up and down the rocks for the day.
I love these photos with excellent frames of this spectacular place, I would like to visit. I wish you a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI simply adore that Joshua tree. I think the negative space is fantastic with it. The colors are so nice and bold, too. My only suggestion would be to crop it slightly higher with less foreground and more sky. But that is just my taste. I like the negative sky space against the tree. I love the feeling of solitude. I think a crop like that would emphasize it more. But that is just my preference.
